‘Especially Manchester United’ – Red Devils could ‘return to flame’ for big signing on bargain basis

Paulo Dybala’s contract at Juventus expires at the end of the current season, so there’s naturally some uncertainty around his future with the Turin club.
Recent events have only increased that, and there were claims he didn’t really celebrate his recent goal against Udinese, due to annoyance with his situation at the club, although the player later denied that.
Gazzetta dello Sport take a look at the Argentine’s future, and multiple Premier League clubs are dragged into the picture, with Manchester United pushed out in front.
Tottenham, Newcastle United and Manchester City are named as potential destinations, and then Gazzetta say ‘especially Manchester United’.
It’s thought the Red Devils could ‘return to the flame’ for the transfer, having tried to sign him when they were sending Romelu Lukaku to Italy. The idea was that the Belgium international would move to Juventus, with Dybala going the other way. That deal collapsed, and at the time it was blamed on difficulties sorting out image rights. Lukaku went to Inter Milan, later moving to Chelsea, and Dybala stayed where he was.
There’s not a great deal of depth in the claims, just Gazzetta putting the idea out there. Given the player’s contract situation, such things are only likely to increase in the coming months.
